A social license to operate.

What does “a social license to operate” mean.

Basically, it means an Informal acceptance granted to an individual or organisation by a community. The reality is most businesses are a long way from understanding their social license to operate.

For instance, the banks never grasped the need to earn a social license to operate. Now they are lumbered with a bank levy and a Royal Commission into their operations which thus far have been damning in terms of policies and procedures.

The social license to operate is in fact a risk management issue.

Community expectations are higher than ever because of social media and the swift transmission of information that can be damaging to the reputation of a company and therefore a lack of trust from the community.

Procedure Rock provides the certainty of an agile management system that not only gets it right in terms of policies and procedures being implemented, but also brings certainty to outcomes.
